William casazza biography

William J. Casazza is the former Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Aetna Inc., a Fortune 50 Company and one of the largest health care companies in America – reporting directly to the Company's Chairman and CEO. As General Counsel, Casazza was responsible for all legal, regulatory and compliance matters for Aetna worldwide.

Prior to joining Aetna, Casazza was engaged in the private practice of law with Sullivan & Cromwell, a Wall Street law firm, specializing in corporate/securities law matters and mergers and acquisitions.

He worked in the firm’s New York and London offices. Prior to that, Casazza was a Certified Public Accountant with Ernst & Young in Chicago.

Casazza holds a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Tufts University; a Masters of Business Administration with high distinction from the University of Notre Dame Graduate School of Business Administration; and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, with distinction in all subjects, f
