Hollywood actor and filmmaker Lou Diamond Phillips has four children from two of his three marriages, all daughters, and he seems close to all of them, despite the divorce.

Lou began his acting career in the mid-1980s and had a breakthrough appearance when he portrayed Ritchie Valens in the 1987 biographical drama movie "La Bamba." He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his performance in "Stand and Deliver" the following year.

Lou has been married thrice, first to filmmaker Julie Cypher from 1987 to 1990.
